DIGICURE webinar series:
Building capacity for digital cultural heritage in Ukraine
This autumn, the DigiCure project invites researchers, cultural heritage professionals and other interested participants to a series of four online workshops on digital cultural heritage.DigiCure supports competence and capacity building in Ukraine in the use of digital technologies for the conservation, documentation and contingency planning of Ukrainian cultural heritage. At the same time, the project recognises the important knowledge and experience developed by Ukrainian heritage professionals working under exceptionally challenging conditions.
The webinar series creates a space for two-way knowledge exchange between Ukrainian and European heritage professionals, researchers and institutions. It aims to foster an informed and critical perspective on heritage technologies, introduce participants to EU-funded digitisation initiatives, research infrastructures and opportunities for European cooperation, and share Ukrainian expertise in areas such as contingency planning, emergency response, resilience and the safeguarding of cultural heritage in times of crisis.
Bringing together participants and experts from Ukraine and across Europe, the four workshops will explore European cultural heritage collaboration, the digital museum, digital built cultural heritage, and digital technologies and research infrastructures.
